Parent-Teacher Association

Thank you for your interest in Central Middle School’s Parent Teacher Association (PTA)! We focus on our students' success, health, and well-being. We achieve this by fostering strong family and community engagement. We aim to improve the educational experience for all students at CMS. We do this by providing financial support and coordinating family engagement.

Central’s PTA supports our students, teachers and staff by:

• Grant Funding for CMS Staff
• Funding and scholarships to assist with the 8th Grade party.
• Providing financial and volunteer support for Literacy Night, Night In Community, Outdoor Movie Night, and other community building events.
• Offsetting transportation costs for all grade level field trips
• Coordinating various teacher and staff appreciation events throughout the year. 

To do all this, we raise money through our Fall PTA school wide fundraiser.

Did you know you do not need to be a formal member of the PTA to volunteer or attend meetings? If you have a student at CMS, you are already part of our community.

Our meetings are the first Wednesday of every month from 8:20 a.m. to 9:20 a.m. both in person and on Zoom. Check the weekly Parent Square emails from Central Middle School for meeting details.

We offer many ways to participate:

• Volunteering at events
• Supporting staff and students by leading events
• Helping with staff appreciation events throughout the school year
• Attending meetings
• Share your thoughts!

Join the PTA or Donate

• Committee chair: Lead a volunteer team for an event or fundraiser.
• Event volunteer: Help during specific events throughout the year.
• Member-at-large: Attend meetings and provide feedback on projects without a formal title.
• Board positions: Serve in leadership roles such as president, treasurer or secretary.
